WOW PARA SADDLES
 

We believe that everybody deserves their dream saddle.
That is why we do not have one exclusive Para saddle, instead all of our saddles are custom made and can be adapted to suit their individual riders needs and requirements. Ensuring optimal comfort for both horse and rider as always.

WE OFFER SOME REVOLUTIONARY FEATURES:

HANDLE BAR 1

This is our Steel Handle Bar. It is a slightly heavier, but extremely rigid option. It fits into the saddle using a Western Headplate, therefore any saddles using this option will be adapted to take Western Headplates as standard.

HANDLE BAR 2

This is a Leather strap/ Handle. It provides security when needed, but is much smaller and lighter. It has no effect on the standard saddle composition, and does not require a Western Headplate fixing.

LEG STRAPS

Our leg straps offer support and help to keep riders lower legs in position when necessary. They fasten with Velcro and are adjustable via slots in the leather.

CUSTOM BLOCK POSITIONS

We can add custom block positions to Para saddles, both behind and in front of the leg. This can help to stabilise riders legs and provide an enhanced sense of security.

DREAMS COME TRUE

SHAKIRA & COOKIE
 

'Shakira had a riding accident on a young mare.
The mare spooked in the arena and bucked Shakira off.
She had an unlucky fall and became a T4 Paraplegic.
This means Shakira has no feeling or sensation below
the point of injury about her bra line area/T4.
This impacts her balance as her core muscles do not
work and she can’t use her legs.

Since her accident Shakira’s dream has been to ride again.
They had another very good quiet mare called Cookie.
Having had a hoist fitted at the yard they have trained Cookie
to stand and accept Shakira being hoisted on and off her but
rapidly realised that the GP saddle they had was not supportive
enough for Shakira other that just to sit on.

They saw the Para Saddle on the WOW website and contacted
HQ who passed them over to me, the rest is history.
David and the crew have made a beautiful saddle which
they are very happy with.'
